Victor is the Founder and Portfolio Manager of Provenance Value Partnership. He has been investing since 1996, bringing three decades of disciplined, research-driven market experience to the Fund. Investing is a passion that Victor has pursued with consistency and conviction across multiple market cycles. His track record reflects a clear, patient approach to capital allocation built on rigorous research and long-term thinking. Victor is the fund's largest unit holder, ensuring his interests are directly aligned with those of his investors. Throughout his career, Victor has founded and managed multiple businesses across construction, retail and property. He is a Director of Birch Developments, a boutique property development company operating in Brisbane. Victor believes that being a businessman makes him a better investor, and being an investor makes him a better businessman — a philosophy that underpins everything he does. Victor is a Director of Ganes Capital Management Pty Ltd and holds a Diploma of Financial Markets and a Diploma of Financial Services.

Gail brings more than 25 years of financial control experience to the team and is known for her proactive and pragmatic approach to compliance and governance. Beginning her career in Audit with EY in Australia and then KPMG in the UK, Gail then went on to hold Corporate Accounting roles across marine, construction contracting and property development sectors. Gail’s experience spans financial modelling, feasibility analysis, compliance management, systems establishment and controls. As Head of Operations at VFM, Gail ensures regulatory standards are met, systems are effective, and investor confidence is maintained through rigorous oversight and integrity. With extensive experience managing complex operations and stakeholders, she is valued for balancing regulatory detail with practical solutions. Gail is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Business (Management) from the University of Queensland.

Wayne is the co-founder of Ganes Capital Management Ltd and has been the Portfolio Manager for the Ganes Focused Value Fund for more than 20 years. Ganes specialises in Australian equities using a value investing approach, based around stock selection and investment research. Wayne brings to investing his experience as a business owner and CPA skills used in acquiring businesses to identify companies that provide long-term attractive returns. He has held senior finance roles in the private healthcare sector, and was a freelance analyst for The Intelligent Investor between 2001 and 2005 covering the small company sector. Wayne is a CPA and has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Bachelor of Business.

David is a Brisbane-based professional with over 22 years of capital markets experience in Sydney and London. He retired from Bank of America in 2018 after seven years as Managing Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets in Sydney, following senior roles at ABN AMRO, Bankers Trust, and Credit Suisse. Over his career, he advised leading corporates and governments, executing more than 100 equity transactions and raising over $100 billion. David is currently Chairman of the UQ Endowment Fund, a member of the Investment Sub-Committee of the University of Queensland, a member of the Investment Committee of the UniQuest Extension Fund, a director of Ganes Capital, and a director of the St Aidan’s Creeth Endowment. David holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor Law (Hons) degrees from the University of Queensland.

Anthony brings over 30 years of financial services experience to his role as independent Chair of the Compliance Committee. A former tier-one law firm partner and now Managing Partner of Launch Financial Services Lawyers, he advises leading Australian and international fund managers and trustees on governance and regulatory matters. His expertise provides the committee with a strong foundation of legal and strategic insight, ensuring compliance frameworks remain robust and adaptive across changing markets.

Max has been with Victor for a long time and now holds the important role of Head of Security and Employee Well-being at VFM. Fiercely protective, Max keeps a close eye on who’s allowed near and far, ensuring the office remains in safe paws. Beyond security, he plays a vital part in staff morale, always ready to lift spirits and keep the team grounded. When not on duty, Max enjoys long walks, strategic naps, and making sure Victor never strays too far from his side.
